About me

I’m an architect, researcher, and digital design enthusiast. I recently completed my Ph.D. in Architecture at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), and I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at ROSO Lab at Feng Chia University, affiliated with National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). My research is funded by Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council (NSTC).

I started my career in architecture, working from 2015 to 2021 on various projects, from towering skyscrapers to cozy houses and interior design-build projects. These years honed my skills in real-world construction challenges, coordination, and building performance. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Architecture) and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Property Management), which provided a solid foundation in both design and systems thinking.

In 2020, I pivoted to research during my second Master’s in Architecture at NTUST, where I became fascinated by topics like topological interlocking, reuse-oriented assemblies, and digital fabrication workflows. This fascination eventually became the core of my doctoral research, which explored scalable design frameworks for modular, mortarless construction systems using computational clustering, robotic prototyping, and reusability metrics.

I’ve had the privilege of working with international teams, including the DDU research group at TU Darmstadt on SL Block robotic assembly, and with TU Graz and Taiwan Universal Cement Corporation on gypsum-based panel systems. I’ve also had the opportunity to present at international conferences like CAADRIA and ICCBEI, published several academic papers, reviewed journal articles, and even contributed to a book chapter on sustainable masonry.

When I’m not lost in research, I love sharing what I’ve learned with others. I teach, mentor, and create content to help others understand complex concepts. I’ve assisted with courses on parametric modeling, digital fabrication, and building envelope systems, and I’m certified in DGNB sustainability consulting and Autodesk Revit Architecture. Outside of the classroom, I like to relax by drawing comics, characters, and architecture-inspired sketches. I also have a YouTube channel where I post tutorials, design experiments, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of my drawing workflow. It’s my way of making architecture and research more fun, visual, and easy to understand.

I’m a huge fan of mixing tech, art, and storytelling to create architecture that’s not only smart and eco-friendly, but also fun, engaging, and meaningful. Whether it’s drawing, building, or coding, I’m always on the lookout for ways to make design more human, adaptable, and just a bit more exciting.
